Code of Conduct
We want every HRi event to be a welcoming, professional and enjoyable experience for everyone. Whether you’re attending a conference, community celebration, networking event or workshop, we ask all attendees to help create an environment where people feel respected, included and encouraged to connect.
HRi Event Code of Conduct
Be Respectful and Considerate
We’re here to learn, collaborate and support one another. Please treat everyone, including attendees, speakers, partners, sponsors and the HRi team, with kindness, professionalism and respect.
Engage Positively
We welcome different perspectives, open discussion and the sharing of experiences. Healthy debate is encouraged, but please keep conversations constructive. Personal attacks, aggressive behaviour or disrespectful language have no place at HRi events.
Create a Welcoming Environment
HRi is committed to creating an inclusive community, and we ask everyone to contribute to that experience. Discrimination, harassment, intimidation or exclusionary behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated, including behaviour relating to race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability, age, religion or background.
Build Relationships
HRi events are designed to encourage meaningful conversations and professional connections. We welcome discussions about your work and business, but ask that networking remains respectful and relationship-focused rather than overly promotional.
Respect Personal Boundaries
Please be mindful of other people’s comfort levels during conversations, networking and photography. If someone prefers not to share their contact details or appear in photographs or videos, please respect their wishes.
If Something Doesn’t Feel Right
If you experience or witness behaviour that doesn’t reflect this code, please speak to a member of the HRi team or email hello@hrindependents.co.uk. We’ll treat all concerns seriously, confidentially and with care.
Thank You
Thank you for helping us create welcoming, professional and supportive events where independent HR and People professionals can learn, connect and celebrate together.
If you have any questions before or during an event, please contact us at hello@hrindependents.co.uk. We’re always happy to help.
